On a Saturday evening, my husband fell and bruised his knee. Later that evening we noticed that the knee was horribly swollen and looked deformed. I remembered that I had Dr. Bonezzi's phone number, so I texted her a photo of my husband's knee. She reassured us that it was probably an injured bursa, and told us she would meet her at the office the next morning, a Sunday. She examined him and told us to apply cold compresses. She thought no further treatment was needed. The swelling and bruising gradually went away over the next few days. It was so reassuring to be able to contact her directly on a weekend and have her check out the injury.
