My brother and his wife, Bob and Mary Jane Woodward were great fans of Dr. Gil and I was very pleased when I was invited to join the Gil family as his patients have called his practice. I joined primarily because I am terrified of being in the hospital with no doctor who knows me, especially if it's a heart attack or stroke or something else requiring immediate, definitive, expert attention. When Dr. Gil first saw me in the hospital he was so thorough explaining what I might or might not have, how my body was working with a high fever, and who would see me next and why. When something is going wrong, Kevin not only treats it, but he EXPLAINS it, which is not only interesting and reassuring, but it makes me aware of what I should be watching in the future. All that, and a very nice guy, never dismissive, never shrugging and saying the equivalent of, What do you expect at 72?. I have a busy life on our vineyard and horse rescue and Dr. Gil has made it so much more productive.
