I recently wrote to MDVIP to tell you of the outstanding care rendered my husband by Dr. Handelman after my husband had had a colonoscopy and developed pneumonia when he came out of the anesthesia. He had to be taken to the emergency room by ambulance. We were totally unprepared for such an occurence after a routine procedure, but Dr. Handelman was there for us every step of the way. After my call to inform him my husband was in the emergency room, Dr. Handelman called the ER doctor with his orders and called me back on my cell phone to reassure me that all would be well. We are not surprised that Dr. Handelman has received this honor. No one deserves it more.
