I feel most fortunate to have Dr. Ron PHillips as my VIP doctor. He is a thorough, knowledgeable, compassionate doctor. I had a recent experience which gave me another insight into Dr. Phillips knowledge and concern. I was in Hilton Head SC and found myleft hand extremely swollen with a large raised place on the back of my hand. I was taken to a local doctor who had to cut off my wedding ring because my circulation was being impaired. Even though i had never felt it, it appeared that an insect had bitten me. I was given some medication and left. I then immediately called Dr. Phillips in Greenville since my fingers and hand were badly swollen and bruising appeared all the way up to my elbow. Dr. Phillips asked me to get someone to send him several pictures of my hand and arm. He quickly called me back and concluded that because of the swelling and its discoloration to the elbow, the insect had bitten into a blood vessel. He advised me to see him as soon as i returned to Greeneville. Since I am on Eliquis twice daily, he also told me to modify the dosage under his direction. He also checked with me on the progress of my hand. His caring and concern made me less anxious about my hand and arm. It took a month for my hand and arm to appear normal again. I have had to call him after office hours about other health issues and he has always been quick to respond and also to follow up on to see how I am doing. He goes over in detail all of the blood work and tests I have had and answers my questions.
