I could have easily died.
My doctor is Greg Ferrara. He has been my doctor for many years, including those before MDVIP.
In 2010, I became very short of breath suddenly one night and had my wife call Dr. Ferrara when his office opened the next day. He had us come in immediately even though he had other scheduled appointments. He conducted a series of tests and reviewed my symptoms and said it appeared like I had pneumonia but not quite. Something did not totally add up. He had us go directly to the hospital emergency room and said to tell them along with my real symptoms that I also had heart pains. He did not want me to sit in the waiting room for 4-5 hours and wanted me to be seen immediately, and it worked. The emergency room doctors repeated the earlier tests and had others added. At first, they stated that they thought that I had pneumonia. I discussed the concerns of Dr. Ferrara about this diagnosis, and they went back and did additional testing. They finally came back to tell me that they had good news and bad news. The bad news was that they finally found a blood clot in my lung which meant I had a pulmonary embolism. I then asked what the good news was. They said the good news was that I was alive to hear it. I spent 4 days in the hospital to ensure that continued to be the case.
Bottom line is that Dr. Ferrara saved my life, and I will be forever grateful. The part that MDVIP played in this was that it has given Dr. Ferrara more time to really get to a better diagnosis by spending more time talking to his patients and running additional tests.
I have and will continue to trust my life with Dr. Ferrara for when it was needed, he proved my trust was valid.
