I am 74 year old woman and have had Dr Handelman as my doctor even before he joined MDVIP. I am reasonably healthy except for the cholestoral problem that is a family thing. Doc and I have shared many a conversation on statin drugs and I have taken many of them he prescribed to find that leg cramps became a problem to the point that I would pass out in the middle of the night from the cramping. Doc and I talked about other ways to curtail my levels but I have decided that no matter what I take my levels will only go down to 193. I now take Milk Thistle and Tumeric plus some other vitamin suppliments and bought a treadmill that I use daily and walla I don't have leg cramps at night anymore. Doctor Mark is always supportive and makes me feel important to him as a person not only as a patient. I continue to work so I can afford his yearly fee, I just pray that when I do retire that I will be able to afford and continue his services.
