House Call
I live with extreme, chronic neuropathy pain. It makes everyday life a challenge to say the least. The majority of my days are spent in bed. I rarely leave my home. Keeping appointments have become a nightmare even when my husband could drive me.
I needed to see Dr. Sills in January so I made an appointment. I tried at least 3-4 times to keep the appointment but finally gave up. My pain levels were just too high. February rolls around and the same ordeal happens. I was told he would not refill my prescriptions without seeing me. I was going to try every day until I made it into the office.
It was getting ridiculous how many times I tried until one day I asked if he could make a house call. Joanie puts me on hold for a minute. When she came back she said he would be there that afternoon!
I was so relieved. Dr. Sills lifted me out of big time stress and the anxiety of trying to accomplish the simple task of keeping an appointment. The stress was compounded by knowing I was wasting his time plus the time another patient could have filled.
Before he left my house he encouraged me to come in for bloodwork. Thankfully an appointment was not necessary.
I hope this doesn’t happen again but it’s great to know Dr. Sills will go the extra mile for his patients. Thank you Dr. Sills!
