I moved from Denver CO, where I practiced pediatric dentistry to Frankfort KY in 2017. I felt that the health care I received during my 40 years in Denver was excellent. I asked my friend, who was an internist in another city in Kentucky, for a good primary care physician in Frankfort. He suggested Dr. Quarles. After his thorough workup, Dr. Quarles referred me to a GI physician in Lexington, Dr. Castelanos. Dr. Catalelanos ran some tests and discovered that I had a large ampullary adenoma that required a Whipple procedure. Dr. Catelanos sent me to Indianapolis for this surgery that went very well. One month later I was plagued by recurrent UTIs. Dr. Quarles referred me to local urologist but he was unable to resolve the problem. Dr. Quarles then sent me to an infectious disease specialist in Lexington and I have been free of infections since then. In addition to his immediate response to my questions, Dr. Quarles is available for consultations and help. I am so grateful for his care and competence, including his ability to book appointments with other specialists within a week, something that is unusual among my friends and acquaintances.
