Heart of Mine

In February of 2022 I had a mild case of covid. After returning to work, I seemed to tire quicker than I did in the past. I didn't think much of it; after all, I was a teacher and teachers never get quite enough rest. I also noticed that I seemed to have lost my desire to dance. I used to dance down the halls of my school. Again, I didn't think much of it. In July of 2022, I had my wellness check. Dr. Hankenhof's nurse, Bethani, saw that my EKG was off. It showed that I was in afib. She immediately told Dr. Hankenhof. He stopped what he was doing to check on me. He wouldn't let me leave his office until I had been set up to see a cardiologist and had been prescribed medication to help me until I saw the cardiologist. Because of his caring, I was quickly back on the road to excellent health.
