He literally saved my life
In 2015, I bought a house in the city and was planning a move from the suburbs. I wanted to find a new primary care doctor and Dr. Freese was recommended from a friend. I went to meet him and have a physical including labs. I liked his manner right away.
I was home on a Saturday night getting ready for bed and my phone rang around 11:00p.m. It was Dr. Freese. He had seen my labs and there were some problematic results (severe anemia) and he advised me to go to the hospital immediately. I did what he told me and drove myself to Christ Hospital.
After being examined, they told me I needed a blood transfusion. That scared me but I went ahead with it. After about 5 days in the hospital, I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. I had heard of it but didn’t know much about it. My kidneys were functioning at 13%.
Four and a half years later after a stem cell transplant and years of chemo, I’m still here and have two beautiful grandchildren that were born during that time.
Dr Freese saved my life by acting quickly and getting me to the right treatment. I will be forever grateful to him.
