He called me at 10:30 at night

I had recently had a colon ostomy; it was probably my first, so I was nervous about the results. I received the results through My Chart and looked at them for the first time when I was going thru emails at about 10:30 that night. The results were in perfect Doctor Speak, but unintelligible to me. I wrote a response in My Chart saying, "I haven't a prayer of understanding this.". Doctor Iacobucci was copied in on the response, but I did not expect a reply at that hour of the night. No sooner had I hit enter, than my phone rang. If was Doctor Iacobucci calling to let me know that everything was fine and I had nothing to worry about.
I have no doubt that he was thinking how worried I would be wondering about the results. He really knew me and my personality and was not going to make me wait until the next day to learn I was really ok.
The next day I called to say thank you and let him know how much I appreciated his care. I only spoke to his receptionist/nurse, but I asked her to let hm know how grateful I was. I told her I felt lucky to have him. She said, "we feel the same way".
