During routine health screening a lung nodule was incidentally picked up unrelated to the testing performed. The nodule was fully evaluated and I received treatment guidance from a pulmonologist I know in the community. Sarah told me to get another opinion from someone I didn't know "who didn't know me from Adam and who didn't Love me" for an objective opinion not clouded by my personal/ professional relationship with the pulmonologist. Ultimately, I had a lobectomy to treat the nodule, but I am so happy to have undergone treatment in my fifties rather than later in life which may have been a more difficult recovery.
