Gratitude and Thankfulness

After being misdiagnosed with a back condition in a California hospital, I returned home to Harbor Springs, MI and Dr. Wendy Walker wasted no time in re-running a battery of lab tests including an MRI --- and in doing so identified a very serious bacterial infection in my spine. She intuitively knew something was just not right with the original diagnosis of sacroiliitis and wasted no time in getting me admitted to a hospital and introduced to an infectious disease specialist and accompanying IV's of targeted antibiotics. The critical time I had lost before Dr. Walker discovered the issue was 6 weeks -- so expediency of care was of the essence. What followed was a very challenging 12 weeks, but Wendy was there all along the way......not only for me, but for my wife who was cast knee deep into the role of primary caregiver. I feel so very lucky and blessed to have survived this health scare -- and also so very fortunate to have had the support and professional expertise and experience of Dr. Wendy Walker --- for whom my family and I will be eternally grateful!
