Gratitude
As a former teacher, the gift of gratitude carried me a "long way" some days, so "here goes", Dr. Delwood---------Thank you for giving me encouragement after my heart surgery at the age of 42, when I felt like an active life had to probably be over for me in the short term, for helping me realize that there was a future for me, and continually encouraging me along the way, for graciously accepting my 9:00 calls at night because of water-soaked medicine that you had to re-prescribe when I was out of town, and the "after 9:00 call" when I was throwing up with miralax-infused Gatorade before a colonoscopy. I would not have "jumped off the end of the diving board" had you not given me some tips to finish that lovely drink. Thanks for all that you do and continue to do.
