Going the extra mile

I've been very grateful for Dr. Scarbrough's dedication in trying to sort out what is going on with me and a collection of hard-to-diagnose symptoms I've been experiencing. I feel cared for and acknowledged by his going the extra mile. He showed this by, among other things, consulting with a local specialist to sort out which tests might be most useful in clarifying what is or is not at the root of my chronic and sometimes acute symptoms. He shared with me the results quickly and routinely. Even as we rule out more likely explanations he has continued to find ways to stay engaged with me during what is a fairly dispirited time for me. His spirit of curiosity, patience, perseverance, has helped me not lose hope in sorting out what is going on and what my options are. This is my first full year with MDVIP and Dr. Scarbrough and I (and my family) have deeply appreciated his willingness to dig in and go that extra mile.
