God Bless My Physician

Dr Winston has been my doctor for over 25 years. As a 86 year old Polio Survivor, I have been to many doctors in my life . None have been more caring than Dr. Winston. He is professional while showing an interested and helpful manner. I can recall many times that he has made a difference in my well being . When my husband died ( also Dr Winston’s patient) Dr Winston took time to contact me . In 2019 I wrote a poem asking God to bless him .
GOD BLESS MY PHYSICIAN
God bless my physician Dr. Stephen Winston
You have known him forever you know his name
You called him to practice medicine
Without seeking fortune or fame
Some people think doctors are God
But I know he is just a man
Loving you and helping others
Striving to do the best he can
Lord bless his family
Help them to understand
They too have a part
In carrying out your plan
He has been interrupted at mealtime
He has been awakened from needed sleep
He may have been up much of the night
But today he has appointments to keep
He has seen the smiles of children
He has held a dying man’s hand
He has comforted families
While helping them understand
Lord give him wisdom and guidance
When he is weak make him strong
Refresh and renew his calling
God shield him from wrong
When he is weary and tired
I pray you will give him rest
It is only with your help Lord
That he is able to do his best
Yes Lord I lift up my physician
To your throne of grace
May he continue to serve you
And finish well his life’s race
