Forever Grateful

Dr. Ramirez has seen me through 1 side tumor surgery and 3 brain tumor surgeries in the 2-3 years I’ve been seeing him. After my side tumor surgery the surgeon did not give me enough pills to get through the weekend for pain. My mom called Dr. Ramirez on a Saturday and he fought my insurance to give me more pills. I felt horrible for taking time out of his weekend to help me get meds but I was so grateful and thankful that he took the time to do that for me. It may seem small to him but it was huge for me! 😊 I then had to see Dr. Ramirez after my side tumor surgery for a follow up to an infection I had near the drain site. I had mentioned at the end of the appointment that I had some numbness and tingling on my left side. If he had dismissed it and said it was because of how I was sleeping at the time we would have missed 3 brain tumors. Instead he did a super quick neurological exam and decided we needed to do an mri just to be sure. My life is definitely different since that day in his office but I will be forever thankful and grateful to him for taking the extra 5 min to do that simple neurological testing he did. He ALWAYS goes above and beyond to show that he cares and really listens to you and probes for further information when you tell him what is hurting or bothering you medically. I have never gotten that from any other doctor. I still have another brain surgery and radiation that I have to go through and I know Dr. Ramirez will be right by side cheering me on and guiding me through my recovery.
