Forever Grateful

Several weeks ago I developed lower back pain, which progressively got worse as the day went on. By the next morning my left leg had lost all of its strength. Being a MDVIP member I was able to contact Dr. Hammer before office hours on his personal cell phone. That is something that doesn’t happen in the alternative medical world. I was in his office by 10 AM that morning and Scott was able to diagnose my problem immediately and contacted a top neurosurgeon within minutes. At the same time his team jumped into action and contacted a local facility to get me an MRI within the hour. By that same afternoon the team had secured me an appointment with a neurosurgeon for the next morning and Dr Hammer had conferred with the neurosurgeon as they both went over the results of the MRI scan. Scott let me know that surgery was probably the best option. On day two I met with the neurosurgeon and he went over my options and said best course of action was to have spinal surgery for the herniated disc as soon as possible. The remainder of day two (a Friday) was a whirlwind of paperwork and tests required to be done before the surgery day. The SDMG team was so helpful completing the paperwork and arranging the tests. So, on day five I was operated on. In the regular medical world by day five I may not have even seen a primary care physician let alone a neurosurgeon who performed the surgery within 72 hours of seeing me. I am forever grateful to Dr. Hammer and his team at Southern Delaware Medical Group for the awesome job they did getting me the treatment I needed in such a short period of time. Joining MDVIP and the Southern Delaware Medical Group family is the best decision we have ever made.
