Excruciating pain

I have been working outside it was late summer, when I woke up the next day I noticed my right wrist was swollen. Thinking it was broken I eventually went to the emergency room. I believe it was on a Friday. They took x-rays and briefly examined my wrist and came up with nothing. That night I was in excruciating pain called DR. Warshauer and explain to him that I was in unbearable pain. He came up with the diagnosis of gout ordered me a prescription I could hear he and his wife looking up my record in the background on the computer and I was able to see him on Monday since what he had prescribed, took care of the pain and I could wait until then. I make a promise to myself, and to him that I would never go to the emergency room without notifying him first.
