Exceptional Care with Human Touch
My husband and I have been patients of Dr. David Cunningham for many years. We both experience a sense of understanding and acknowledgment when engaging in conversation with him. He celebrates with us during joys in life whether it is getting our dogs or losing weight or managing our blood pressure.
He actually met our puppy, Freddie, when we first got him in 2022 and he recommended I read a book by Tom Ryan, Following Atticus. That book spoke volumes to me, and I was grateful for the recommendation. We now have Freddie's sister Gracie - two golden retriever puppies during retirement!
Dr. Cunningham called or texted me every day while Curt was in the hospital for Neuroendocrine Tumors. It was terrifying almost losing him to an intestinal blockage and then trying to understand and learn what we were facing. We actually live in New Hampshire and Dr. Cunningham is in Rhode Island and Curt was treated in Boston, MA. Everything has calmed down and Curt goes for yearly scans to make sure there are no new tumors.
I learned I have a mild form of a genetic heart disease and I believe my grandfather died from it at 65 and my dad's last years were negatively impacted by it. It's manageable and I greatly appreciate that I can send reports to Dr. Cunningham and get his opinion on them. He often responds faster than the specialists we see in New Hampshire. I am impressed with how well Dr. Cunningham works outside his network to help us get the best care possible.
Overall, our health is good, and we are enjoying life. Curt's dad passed away at 85 years old and the last thing he said to us was "Live A Good Life". We are doing that! Curt retires from his part-time job this week and we leave at the end of the month on a 6-week journey in the RV with our pups. We are meeting up with one of our kids and family in New Mexico. Curt has wanted to see Carlsbad Caverns since he was in Elementary School.
In the words of Tom Ryan (one of my new favorite authors) "Onward, by all means!"
