Even in Morocco
Dr. Justin Terry has always been proactive to keep my husband and I in good health. He doesn't just treat us when we are sick, but looks for ways for us to engage in preventative care, so that we can maintain a full and active life. That's what you look for when you get a little on the older side and we appreciate that!
But I did not know how valuable having a concierge physician would be until I needed help while we were traveling in Morocco. We were on a group tour (one of those trips of a lifetime) in Morocco when I began to have terrible stomach pains while we were in a small town that didn't have a hospital. It was much more than just the usual traveler's problems from eating different foods, and I knew I needed help. I wasn't able to eat, had cramps and shooting pains in my abdomen, was running a low-grade fever and was so tired I just wanted to stay in bed. It looked like we might have to drop out of the group and stay in that town until I could get help somehow, or go to a big city and find a hospital.
I emailed Dr. Terry after-hours due to the time change, and got an answer in a few hours. He prescribed an antibiotic based on my symptoms and my husband was able to get it a near-by pharmacy. You don't need an actual written prescription from a local doctor in Morocco. I was better the next day and able to continue our fabulous trip! I never could have done that without Dr. Terry and MDVIP. We travel a lot, so it is extremely comforting to know we can call or email our doctor even when we are in a foreign land, and he will answer and help us find a solution.
