Dr. Yong Ahn is an amazingly caring, insightful, knowledgable doctor

Dr. Yong #$ Ahn is an amazingly caring, insightful, knowledgable doctor who listens and observes with empathy and wisdom. One example happened about four or five years ago. There is a steep, beautiful trail accessing the mountains just a few steps from our home. We and our children hiked this trail frequently years ago when they were still at home. I told Dr. Ahn how much I wished my husband and I could still do that but my weak core muscles made it impossible. She said, What you need to do is get walking sticks! They would make all the difference. I went right out and bought some and we have been hiking the path ever since then. It is wonderful exercise and gives me great joy to be out in our beautiful mountains.
Just recently my husband went for his wellness exam and she noted that he has a very slow heat beat. She suggested that he might want to consider a pace maker. Initially he rejected the idea but brought it up recently with one of our daughters and me and told us that he wanted us to decide if he should. We, of course, told him that we wouldn't make that decision for him but we had a lot of questions about the procedure, etc. and he didn't have any answers so he told us to go and talk to Dr Ahn to learn all about it. I made an appointment and three of our children and I went to see her. She reviewed the procedure and then we asked our many questions and felt fully informed. She also kindly suggested to our children to use this experience to consider their aging process and make thoughtful plans as they age.
These are just two of the many caring experiences we have had with Dr. Ahn. She is a very competent, knowledgable doctor and also very empathetic which make her exceptional.
