Dr. Yamane: Thanks For Helping Me Raise My Expectations
The men in my family have traditionally not fared well. My father died at age 53. His father died at 55. I had two male cousins from my father's side of the family. One left this earth at 59, the other at 57. I WENT TO HIGH SCHOOL WITH THOSE GUYS IN THE 1960's! One major difference between them and me is that, just in time, I lucked upon Dr. Yamane, who has embraced a wellness-based philosophy of medical practice that incorporates the emotional as well as physical aspects of health, along with the latest breakthroughs in medical science. The doctor once told me that this was the kind of medicine he has always wanted to practice and I have bought in as well. For one thing, it has involved my being willing to make major dietary changes. Today at age 67, I can honestly attest that I did not have the level of wellness in my 30's that I now enjoy!
