Dr. William Petty More than Just Our Doctor

I remember a time when I was caretaking both my parents who are in their 90's. It has been a stressful journey at times. During the very early days of Covid my father had developed edema in his legs. I had never seen this before so I called Dr. Petty's office. I was asked to take a picture of my father's legs and send it to Dr. Petty. I was unfamiliar with the phone technology that allows you to attach a photo to a text message. I was panicky as I struggled to upload the photo to the text. I called nearly in tears and explained that I didn't know how to use the technology necessary to upload the photo. Dr. Petty explained to me the process step by step as I used both my husband's phone and mine to upload the photo for Dr. Petty's use to help to decide the next steps in Dad's treatment. That day , I thought how fortunate we are to have a Dr. who is so intuitive to know that I was panicking and how clear and expert he was in walking me through technology in such a way that I became calm despite the fact that he was located 15 miles away.
After I hung up Dr. Petty promised to call me back. True to his promise, as always, Dr. Petty called me within what seemed like moments and was able to provide expert care. I will never forget Dr. Petty's kindness, patience and care as he took the time and made the effort to successfully walk me through the technology in my moment of despair. Dr. Petty is always there for me and my family. We are blessed to have our wonderful Dr. Petty in our lives.
