Dr. William Holgerson is a true wonder. He has the heart of an old-time general practitioner while using and promoting current technology. He endears his patients (he used to welcome my mother with a touch on the arm ). He quickly adapted to using the electronic medical record. His knowledge base is remarkable. His approach is conservative, yet he never shies away from pursuing a difficult diagnosis. When a specialist is needed, Dr. H always knows the right person for the referral. By the way, he is always on time.

Moreover, his office staff is superb. His phlebotomist is top-notch; she can insert a needle before you know itfirst jab every timewith little or no pain. Maria, who has been his gatekeeper for years, is knowledgeable and efficient. Best of all she is reliable: you know that she will always return calls, relay messages correctly, and greet you with a broad smile.

Having been part of Bostons medical community for 40 years, I can honestly say that Bill Holgerson is a superlative physician and a wonderful human being.
