Dr Wayne Justice - savior of our family!
We have been patients of Dr Wayne Justice since 2009. He is that old school Doctor that takes time to talk with his patients, learn about them and is truly a "family" doctor. When our favorite PA from our Pediatric Clinic left we decided to bring our kids to Dr J as he practiced pediatrics in the Air Force. Now for the "savior" part - he identified a tumor early in my wife's battle with cancer and coordinated for her treatment at Shands U of F. I am confident that lead to the full remission she achieved the following year. As an MDVIP Dr he has answered her calls late in the evening to provide her with the critical advice and prescriptions she needs (did I mention she had a bi lateral lung transplant also?). He diagnosed our oldest daughter with Lupus and helped us find care. He has answered my texts and calls on numerous weekends when I was nervous about being sick or injured and going back to work! (Airline pilot here). He even met me at the office on a holiday to make sure my oldest daughter had the prescription she needed for the weekend. To further illustrate why I call him an "old school" family Doctor, let me share a story - We recently visited him to follow up on an ER visit as my daughter hurt her ankle playing sports. He evaluated her and her Xray and explained to us that she tore a ligament. He then pulled up various pictures and diagrams to explain exactly what happened, how it can affect her and how she can best recover. When we were leaving my daughter told me "that's why she loved Doc J" as he explains things and talks to them like they are mature. We could not be happier having Dr Justice as our family Doctor, and I will happily maintain my MDVIP membership as long as he can remain our family Doctor.
