Dr. Thomas Griffin,, Jr.
When my dog, Charlie, died unexpectedly, I fell totally apart. I stopped being the facilitator at the Library Writing Workshop, I stopped everything. My heart was broken. one morning, i could not stop crying. Instead of calling the office, I dressed and drove down. I walked into the office, sobbing hysterically. The staff was unbelievably kind. They took me into an office and Dr. Griffin came in. He said, "My heart breaks with you. I know how much you love that dog. How can I help you?" I stood up and said, "I need a hug." He hugged me gently, saying, "It will be okay. Trust me, it will be okay." I will never forget how kind he and the staff were to me that day. Dr. Griffin has seen me through illnesses for the last eight years. He is a kind and brilliant doctor. Thank you.
