My story began on 2/26/2022, the night that I had a TIA. I spent 2 nights in the hospital. It was one of the scariest moments of my life. I was 53 and never in my life dreamed this would happen to me. I have a wonderful loving husband, son, and daughter. They witnessed all this happening. This too was extremely hard on them. I thank sweet Jesus that I had no permanent injuries. I could only think of my family and what it would do to them if it had been worse. I knew there was a chance that I could have another TIA or worse. So naturally I worried night and day. I felt like I had been given a warning. I wanted to make sure I did everything possible to prevent this from ever happening again. I never want to see the ones I love and hold dearly in my heart suffer, ever again, as they did that night. I was anxious for an explanation and a more in-depth description of my health, broken down in medical terms that I could understand. It was time to choose a primary Doctor. I remembered, Dr Spedale, the Dr. that diagnosed my mother with Lewy Body Dementia. The Doctor that closely monitored her, cared for her, and gave her the exact years she had remaining as a result of her diagnosis. He was right on point, we lost her to this dreadful disease in the timeframe he had predicted. But he was no longer practicing in the Clinic my mother went to. He was now a part of MDVIP. The fear set in, was he taking new patients? After discussing and explaining MDVIP with my husband, he said you are most important to me, and cost is no objection. Let’s get an appointment! I had called the office, but he wasn’t taking new patients. Then, a couple of hours later, I received a phone call from Doctor Spedale. He said he heard of what happened to me and wanted to help. My heart lit up. Tears filled my eyes and streamed down my face like a water going over the edge of a waterfall. Suddenly, my breathing eased knowing the man that cared so deeply for my mother and her health, was going to see me as well. My visit with him was about an hour and 1/2. He went over each test the hospital ran on me, explaining each in full detail so that I could better understand. He listened and answered every question I had. His words to me were, we’re going to get you through this. He was kind, respectable, honest, and optimistic. He was confident that with his treatment he would get answers and get me on the right track to good health. There would be a long road of tests ahead and discussed the lifestyle changes that would be required of me. It’s been 2 years since my TIA. Thank Sweet Jesus, no others have happened. I cannot thank Dr. Spedale enough for all that he has done for me. He brought my life back to me. I will forever be grateful to him. Because of him, I am at now at ease. He “fixed” me!! My health and life have changed significantly, and he has walked the whole way with me! I can call or text him, night, or day, and he responds immediately. That is a true blessing! Dr. Spedale, thank you for all that you have done and continue to do for me!! Thank you for your support and for always being there when I need you. I appreciate you with all my heart! Thank you for everything and for always putting my mind at ease. I am truly blessed to be a patient of such a kind and wonderful Doctor. To me, I have the best Doctor in the world!!
