Dr Shapiro is an exceptional M.D.. I think part of his success stems from the fact that He is very very smart . Dr Shapiro by discovering medical problems after reviewing my lab results actually lengthened my life .Not once but twice . I am currently undergoing BCG treatment for bladder cancer .In May 2013 I went in for my annual physical . Dr.Shapiro noticed something he did not view as normal .He called me in ordered a repeat of a specific test . In June I had a scope of my bladder.The urologist found three tumors.two of them were at each side of the ureter from the kidney into the bladder .Had either escaped into adjacent organs; it, of course would not been a happy outcome .I will save the story of how in 2010 Dr Shapiro decided to send me in for an exam which ended up with the GI Doctor discovering an adenomous(sp) carcinoma for another time.Dr. Shapiro takes the time and makes the effort to know his patients and analyze their lab results .
