Dr. Scott Schaeffer's relationship with me as his patient

I live in my own house in a +55 Community with my dog,, Honey. My wife of 57 years died of breast cancer in 2017. Dr. Schaeffer always responds to my questions and concerns between appointments. In face-to-face appointments, I’ve found him to be an exceptional listener. His staff is always very professional and helpful. 8-29-23 appointment - Annual physical Background: In early, February of 2023 I was hospitalized for a week with a severe case of COVID. (I had all my shots.) After I got out of the Hospital, 3 different therapists came to my house in 45 minute sessions to help me regain strength and balance. Dr. Schaeffer followed that with prescribed multiple physical therapy sessions through the summer at Performance Physical Therapy. COVID lingered on. During the months following my hospitalization, I was not myself. I had lost my senses of taste and smell and my self-confidence. I felt weak, depressed and forgetful. I had lost 20 lbs. My Annual Wellness evaluation (8-29-23) was especially helpful. During our review Dr. Schaeffer listened to my comments, and he readily recognized my anxiety with regards to my personal experiences over the past months since I had been hospitalized. Since then, as I’ve followed Dr. Schaeffer’s recommendations over recent months, I’ve regained confidence, and I feel much better about my health.
