Dr. Scanlon has been my personal physician for a long time now

Dr. Scanlon has been my personal physician for a long time now, so she already knows my very complicated background before I even go in for my annual physical :-) Having her know that background is very important to me, and helps her identify any specialists that I might need on an on-going basis. Most recently I had contracted walking pneumonia without realizing it. Took me probably toooo long to have her take a look, but when I finally made an appointment she knew immediately what the problem probably was, quickly got me the X-rays, etc., needed, and worked further to try to determine if it was viral or bacterial. I was so glad that she was so much on the ball -- as I surely wasnt at all :-) Her same expertise was critical when a few years ago I ended up suddenly in the hospital with a systemic allergic reaction.
