Dr. Osias exceeds expectations as my new Primary Care Doctor
A year ago, I received notice that my PCP of 20+ years was retiring and I was at a loss for how to replace him, even though I never felt he was an especially attentive and good doctor. Speaking to a friend who had recently signed up for an MDVIP PCP I decided to explore their physicians in my area. I found and met with Dr. Osias and we hit it off immediately as she is so easy to talk to and was so interested in learning about me and my expectations. My biggest problem with my doctors is that each one sees me through a single lens only and disregards the implications of how their specialty treatment might affect other issues I have. Dr. Osias has been able to take a macro view of my health and help me navigate competing priorities. She has also recommended great specialists when needed. She has made herself available 24/7 via text which I’ve used in emergencies and has gone above and beyond to help me such as when my Lab PCR test required for entry into Turks & Caicos came back inconclusive Dr. Osias was able to do a rapid PCR in her office and give me my written negative result on her letterhead in time for me to get admitted to the country and go on vacation. The exams including tests and reports from Dr. Osias are more extensive and detailed — especially in terms of cardiac markers— and therefore are more actionable in terms of lifestyle modifications. I have never had a primary doctor who took such a genuine interest in me and my well being and who makes me feel like a truly valued patient. Thank you Dr. Osias for all you do! It’s well worth paying the extra annual fee to have you as my PCP!
