Dr. LeFevre saved my life

Just as the COVID pandemic was beginning it's attack in Northern Virginia , I had been bothered with flue-like symptoms for a couple of days and was medicating myself with OTC analgesics , until one night I woke up with a 105.5 degree fever . It was about 3AM and I was scared , so I called Dr. LeFevre , even knowing that I would be waking him up . After talking with him about my symptoms , he recommended that I go to the hospital immediately, but warned me that there may be a lot of other people , victims of COVID , who would be rushing to the ER at the same time and that he would call ahead for me . The ER staff saw me as soon as I arrived and the physician who treated me found that I didn't have COVID , instead I had a severe staph infection . Seven days in the hospital and "gallons " of intravenous antibiotics later , I was released . I think that had not Dr. LeFevre intervened for me and ordered me to the ER immediately after my 3AM call, I would have been shuffled together with COVID patients and while waiting , could have lost my life to the severe , life-threatening Staph infection before any ER doctor saw me . Dr. Le Fevre is the best !
