Dr. Leah Ozdemir
I will say right up front that I love my Doctor, who is always in my corner and tries very hard to understand exactly what my concerns are. Even if I don’t quite know what I am talking about or am really unsure of what I am experiencing as a medical problem. She is patient and very kind. She replaces a doctor who retired that as a female patient, I had a harder time relating to although he was also a good doctor and I had confidence in him. Dr. Leah and her office are wonderful. No complaints.
Now for the part you don’t want to hear…the only value I see in MDVIP is that it is the organizing tool for this set of doctors that don’t rush us through a visit. The record keeping supposedly by MDVIP has never benefitted me and I don’t login. I tried to correspond via the email with my previous MDVIP doctor but he didn’t use it and asked me to instead just call his office. I may need to see a MdVIP doctor out of town someday but in town my referrals to specialists don’t carry any extra weight nor my secondary to Medicare insurance which has no requirement for a referral. The once a year physical is something that has pieces and parts charged to my insurance anyway and the elementary questionnaire doesn’t feel like it is anything but tedious. Other than having an association as an umbrella for conscientious doctors that want to have more time for patients…what does the umbrella MDVIP provide me? I would love a summary of my history recorded so that I don’t have to remember every time I go to a new specialist or for a procedure the date and what the procedure was… how about consolidating a record I can take with me anywhere? I am just hoping the fee we pay MDVIP is making it worth it for my doctor.
