Dr. Koval Has "Been There" For Me!
Some years ago the State Merit Health Care system and a local Atlanta hospital did not see eye to eye on some things and it turned out that my husband and I found ourselves needing to find another doctor. After the initial shock, we decided that we would look for another doctor using the MDVIP site. We wanted a doctor that was relatively close to our location. When I am sick, the onset of my being sick is rather quick so I wanted to find a doctor that could see me as soon as possible should the need arise. We saw many good doctors on the site and decided on Dr. Koval. We called his office and asked the person answering the phones if it would be possible to speak with the doctor. We explained why we were calling. The nurse that answered the phone told us that Dr. Koval would call us back at the end of the business day, which he did. We scheduled an appointment to meet him. We met him within the week. He was pleasant, professional, and answered all of our questions and he was kind! We also wanted to know that he was comfortable with us being his patients. We felt comfortable with choosing Dr. Koval and felt that he was also comfortable with us!
After being Dr. Koval's patient for several years a situation occured where I was very ill and in a great deal of pain. I initially called the urologist thinking that I had a kidney stone. It was July and I had, had my first kidney stone attack the previous November. The urologist I spoke with told me that it was likely something else that was working on me because it wasn't usual to have another kidney stone so soon after the first one. They suggested I call them in the morning but if it got worse, to go to the ER. It was a difficult night and I had not had much sleep. I decided to call Dr. Koval at 8:00 a.m. I told him what had happened and he told me to come to the office as soon as I could get there. Dr. Koval had already made arrangements for me to see a specialist doctor who was waiting for me and was just across the street from his office. I could not have asked for a more caring and compassionate doctor, than Dr. Koval! He was sensitive to the fact that I was in a fair amount of pain and got the help I needed as quickly as he could. He called me that evening to see how I was doing. Thanks to him, I was feeling so much better and it turned out it was another kidney stone!
I would recommend Dr. Koval to anyone who was looking for an excellent physician! He has been a great doctor for us and I appreciate him tremendously!!
