Dr. Katsigiannis is our hero

Thursday, New Years Day, my husband landed in the ER where he was diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Katsigiannis answered my panicked call right away, calmed us down and got all the test results immediately. By the time we saw him on Friday morning, he had assembled a phenomenally qualified team of doctors at Greenwhich hospital/Yale New Haven. They got to work immediately to determine an apppropriate course of treatment. They all work together and our beloved Dr. K is an important part of the team. He told us at the outset that we were not alone in this and he has kept his word. He is always available when we need information or cheering up. When the stress of the situation caused me to have a mild, non-lasting stroke, Dr. K was there for me again. He got my test results immediately, prescribed the necessary medication for me and even visited me in the hospital (twice) to check on me and to reassure me that I was going to be fine. While the last six weeks were terrible for us, Dr. Katsigiannis has been an invaluable presence in our lives. He is the epitome of a knowledgeable, kind and caring physician and an incredible human being. We are so grateful that he is here.
