Dr. Jonathan Lown Rave Review

I am so pleased to be able to share my thoughts about Dr Jonathan Lown, my MDVIP primary care doctor in Commack, NY.
I have been exceptionally pleased with every aspect of Dr Lown's practice, especially of course dealing directly with Dr Lown.

Some specifics will be helpful. My prior annual physical exams used to take literally 15-20 minutes and I spent more time in the waiting room than with the doctor. Dr Lown's annual exam is broken into two parts - one with all the blood work and diagnostic tests. My annual exam now includes a MOCA test, hearing test, breathing test, EKG etc. The second part is then meeting with Dr Lown reviewing all the test results and completing his portion of the annual exam which is quite extensive.
I was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and if not for Dr Lown it would have gone undetected. He picked up on a very slight steady increase in my PSA ( which was way below any concern level ) and made me go for a MRI which detected the cancer at a very early stage. The PSA was on at 1.65 and most doctors would have ignored. I am so very thankful.

I also had some rash/ psoriasis that I was having treated by a dermatologist which continued to return. During an exam I mentioned it to Dr Lown and he changed my steroid and within a few days it was gone.

In reviewing my extensive list of heart medicines Dr Lown suggested an additional prescription in Zetia. After he consulted with my cardiologist I began taking the medication and it made a significant difference in my HDL and LDL levels.

I also find his automated reminders and notifications when prescriptions are called in very helpful.
