Dr John Heidrick

Dr Heidrick has been our doctor since he first came to Bakersfield and was with Kaiser. He left after a couple years and we followed him to his private practice. When he joined MDVIP we joined immediately. He has always been there for us no matter the day or time. Since we have his cell number I called him at 3:00 AM when my husband was having what I thought was a heart attack but turned out to be a slight stroke. He walked me through everything to do. My husband always seemed to have issues on weekends but he never failed to answer my call and told me exactly what to do. Once he was at his daughter’s wedding in Florida. The last time he was in the middle of the Atlantic on a much deserved cruise with his adorable wife. I had taken my husband to ER to have his shoulder x- rayed and they found several other issues and wanted to admit him, I called Dr Heidrick, he spoke to the Dr on call, who he happened to know, then spoke to me. Told me to tell Joe he knew the doctor and trusted him so follow his instructions. As it turned out Joe spent 9 weeks in three different hospitals. And passed away from a very rare type of leukaemia. Dr Heidrick was in touch with the hospital doctors and kept me and our children informed of his progress. Our daughter even called him at times to ask him questions. His annual check ups are very thorough and he will send you to a specialist if need be. His office is like walking into a friends home. His nurses and staff are very welcoming and friendly. My husband often just stopped by to get a cup of coffee and have one of his wife’s homemade treats. Dr Heidrick is not only a wonderful doctor but a wonderful person.
