Dr. Janz has been my primary care physician since I moved to Punta Gorda over 10 years ago. From the very first time I met with him, there were a number of things about him which I was extremely impressed.
First of all, when I had a 9am appointment (or whatever time) with him, if not exactly at 9am or within 2-3 minutes I was called to come back into his office. (Many other physicians with whom I have had experiences were often 15-45 minutes late for my appointment. I know the doctor's time is valuable--but so is mine.)
After weighing me, taking my blood pressure and body temperature, et. al., I was moved into a examination room. Within a few minutes Dr. Janz came into the room, shook my hand and began talking with me. What impressed me most about Dr. Janz is he really showed a concern about me--not as only a patient, but also as a person. I never felt like he was rushing me through the appointment so he could go on to his next patient.
Whenever I asked him a question, he was extremely thorough with his answers.
He kept asking me Are there any other questions you have? Is there anything else I can help you with?
When I was considering whether or not to go to the MDVIP program, I attended the introductory program he offered. One statement he made was this is the way I always thought I wanted to practice medicine.
