Dr. Hoshiwara Saved my life!
In 2004 I was suffering from chronic back pain on my left side. I told my dr and he prescribed Naproxen for the pain. It did help with the pain but I had to take it everyday. He suggested I get an MRI which I did. Everything came back fine. Six months later he asked if I still had back pain. I said yes and he suggested I get another MRI. I said ok, but as I left I thought why should I get another one when nothing showed upon the first one. I figured I was just going to have to live with this chronic pain for the rest of my life. The next few weeks I would get messages from him saying he still hasn't received the report from the second MRI. I finally scheduled an appt. I did this so he would not ask me anymore, LOL. The second MRI was with contrast and on Saturday after Thanksgiving 2004 he called me and said I need to get a biopsy on a mass that was on my kidney. I remember on the day before my biopsy I called his office and left a message for him to call me. He did call me that evening. I was crying and telling him that I did not want to get a biopsy, I was scared and very upset. He calmed me down and told me that it was very important that I get this done and reassured me that I was going to be ok.
I went to get a biopsy and as I was laying on the table getting ready to get it, the technicians called my Dr. They said I do not need a biopsy because they were 100% sure it was cancer. Dr. Hoshiwara called and made me an appt with my urologist for Monday morning before the office opened. I was in surgery a week later to have my kidney removed.
This was before Dr. Hoshiwara was with MDVIP and that is why my husband and I decided to follow him when he went with MDVIP . We had never had a Dr. That cared so much about us and knew we could never find another more caring and knowledgeable Dr. I know in my heart that he 100% saved my life, I would have never had a second MRI if he hadn't kept asking me about it. Today I am enjoying my Grandchildren and my family and friends thanks to Dr. Hoshiwara.
