Dr Gunter has always been there for me.

Dr. Michael Gunter is the best.
I have had a few difficult times over the years, and he has always been there for me. I can email him or call without hesitation.

My mother was diagnosed with ALS. She lived an hour flight or 8-hour drive from me. I was working at the time, and dealing with various stressful work projects and life in general. This diagnosis was just about the most I could handle. I was traveling each weekend to help my sister with my mom. My mother (and best friend) was diagnosed at the end of May, and we were told she had maybe 6 months. I worked and traveled the first month or so, working 10 hr days to make up for the early flights out on Friday. I got to the point where I didn’t feel right leaving every weekend, and the exhaustion I was experiencing, I called Dr Gunter for help. He let me just talk, after I was all talked and cried out, he asked what I needed. I told him a Dr’s leave of absence excuse from work, for about 4 months at the time. He told me to let him know if I needed longer. I had a friend from work pick it up and take it to my employer (I was at my mother’s at the time). The wash of relief I felt with just a simple phone call made all the difference in the world. I was able to relax a little and appreciate the time I had left helping my sister and spending time with my mother. My mother passed away in September. Without Dr. Gunter’s understanding and quiet listening, I am not sure what I would have done.
