Dr Glenn Hinchman Makes a Difference
The last year was a tough year for me, physically and emotionally, and I wouldn’t have healed without Dr Glenn Hinchman and his staff. I currently have no family in Arizona, and while family, caregivers and friends helped me through difficult days, I was alone many days and reached out to Dr Hinchman often. He always responded quickly. Those connections made a huge difference in bringing me healing and comfort, especially as I knew that many people were experiencing long waits to see health care providers.
To start, I experienced vertigo for the first time. I fell, hit my head on a tile floor and lived with concussion issues for months. Right after the fall, Dr Hinchman connected me with an excellent physical therapy team who helped improve my balance and confidence.
Shortly after that, I felt a lump under my arm and called Dr Hinchman. He quickly connected me with an excellent oncologist, who initiated scans and biopsies and appointments with excellent surgeons and treatment specialists. Dr Hinchman and his team continually help me through this cancer journey.
One day during the journey, I experienced a strange facial burning and swelling, and called Dr Hinchman. He quickly detected side effects to a surgery antibiotic…as well as Stevens-Johnson Syndrome symptoms. He immediately initiated medications to start the healing. While I suffered serious problems with SJS for months, I didn’t need hospitalization.
Throughout my year of concussion, cancer, and SJS, I also experienced anxiety and stomach issues. I’m blessed that Dr. Hinchman helped me through those too. When I say that he always responded quickly, it was within minutes or hours, even during evenings and weekends. Thanks to him and his team, my physical and emotional health issues calmed by the close of 2023.
As I start 2024, still working through cancer, I’m grateful for all of my doctors and health providers. I’m extremely grateful to Dr. Glenn Hinchman for initiating so many healing actions during the difficult year.
