Dr. Dozier and His Medical Staff Are Exceptional!

I do not have a single moment with Dr. Dozier to describe yet, but I would like to provide a general comment about him and his excellent MDVIP medical team in Florence, S.C.

A little history about myself first. I was an officer in the U.S Navy for twenty-two years including two around-the-world deployments to Vietnam. As such, my medical coverage was provided by the military. In 1990, I retired to join the private sector only to be persuaded to become a federal senior executive for the Secretary of Energy, who I had worked for for four years when he was the Chief of Naval Operations.

Although most of my medical expenses were covered by TRICARE, I was fortunate to have found an incredibly good internist who subsequently went to work under MDVIP – Dr. Robin Merlino. She was honored several times in the DC area for her medical service. I then moved to California, then to New Mexico before moving to Florence, S.C. in 2004. Despite these moves, I continued to use her until she retired in 2021. From 2001 until two years ago, I still traveled to northern Virginia twice a year to see her MDVIP replacement.

Since I am not getting younger, I needed to find a new MDVIP internist here in Florence and a good friend of mine recommended Dr. Dozier. I met him and fortunately he accepted me into his service, which is outstanding. He and his medical staff are exceptional. I have had several medical appointments, and they have been efficient, thorough, and comprehensive. I look forward to having him for a long time.

I just hope Dr. Samuel Dozier continues to provide medical checkups and, if necessary, treatments so I can continue to live a healthy and happy life.
