Dr. Barnes -- you are the best!

There is nothing more stressful than a medical crisis - the panic, fear and racing heart! Dr. Barnes, you have always been the calm, steady voice of reason for my husband and I.
You were the calm voice when my baby brother was dying from Covid and when my 93 year old mother needed to be taken to the hospital with possible Covid. You worked my husband through complications of hip and knee replacement and hernia repair. And, you was right there with us for the discharge care needed when my husband was struck by a car. We have been your patients since the beginning of your MDVIP practice and, during these ten years, the time and care you have given to us has been exceptional. You did not have to take on this extra care but you did because we needed you.
I am so grateful for your care and personal concern for my mental and physical well-being -- the feeling that me, the whole person, is important to you. I feel we work as a health team. You give me logical, clear explanations as to why you want me to try something different and then give me the resources to make those decisions. If a test result doesn't come back so great, you don't lecture or make me feel guilty. You just present new options for me to try.
I am also grateful for the wonderful, caring staff that work in your office to answer our questions and make our life easier.
