Dr. Balakrishna Was my Salvation. .

While I was traveling with a tour group in Europe last fall when I became ill with a UTI. I tried managing it for a few days with medication Dr. Bala had sent with me, with no success. In consultation with my Dr. Bala we decided I should see a doctor in Vienna. He prescribed medicine and the next day I was actually worse. At that point my Dr. Bala and my family decided that I should leave my group and come home. And so I did. I flew directly from Vienna to Chicago taking eleven hours. Dr Bala was my salvation. She prepared my son, who was meeting me at the airport in Chicago, to have appropriate food and drink in the car ready for our five hour drive home. She told him that if I threw-up he should take me directly to a hospital in Chicago. I did not throw-up and we drove home being grateful for many things…most of all Dr. Balakrishna. After a week of recovery I went to see Dr. Bala in her office. She gave me a big hug and said she was glad I was home and feeling better. Dr Bala is the smartest and most nurturing physician I have had in my eighty-one years of life. I do hope I outlive her because I never want anyone else as my doctor. Thank you, Dr. Bala.
