Dr. Alford isn't only my doctor but also a dear friend. If it had not been for her intervention with my back problems I would be paralysed now. She referred me to Duke after three failed extensive back surgeries done here. The neurosurgeon at Duke told me that if I had waited two more months there would have been nothing he could have done for me. The metal, not secured during surgery would have severed my spinal cord.
