Dr. Adrian Douglas

I am so blessed to have Dr. Adrian Douglas as my primary Dr. On several occasions he has responded promptly to after hour calls when I was in pain or something happening within my body that I didn't understand. One specific incident five years ago-I began to see blood in my stool-when I called Dr. Douglas he immediately told me to go to the emergency room at Piedmont Hospital. He called the hospital and informed them that I would be coming. When I arrived they took me immediately and ran test-the results suggested the bleeding was related to my taking Aleve. Dr. Douglas followed up with me after my visit. It meant a lot that he would take time to call me personally and give me preventive measures to follow.. It is very obvious that he has great PR with his patients. I like his preventive approach to healthcare-always ordering test and making referrals to prevent something traumatic happening. When I go for my annual physical-the test are very thorough and he takes time to explain the results clearly and encourage me with helpful suggestions to improve my health. I am thankful that he has been my Primary Care Dr. for over twenty years. I am currently 74 years old and feel certain that the level of health i now enjoy is a result of being under his consistent care.
