A Doctor Who Truly Cares!

Dr. Walend is the kind of doctor everyone would wish they had. She makes me feel like I’m her only patient when I have an appointment. I always feel that I am heard and the appointment is never rushed.
Dr. Walend has become a significant part of my life. She was the first to detect my reoccur-ant prostate cancer and was instrumental in coordinating my care with the various specialists I needed as my cancer treatment progressed. She even answered two phone calls on a Sunday afternoon to help me get admitted to a local Behavioral Health Hospital when the side effects my cancer treatment became overwhelming.
Dr. Walend then did the most amazing and potentially lifesaving act. She was instrumental in getting me into Mayo Clinic for treatment. I have had five rounds of radiation and ten rounds of chemotherapy. My cancer now seems to be getting under control.
Not only is Dr. Walend an awesome doctor, she is a one-of-a-kind beautiful, caring human being. I cannot imagine anyone else whom I would want supporting me on my wellness journey!!
