A Doctor Who Cares

My story has no dramatic turning point but it is still worth sharing because I found a doctor who took the time to understand my needs and preferences.

My husband and I relocated to Broward county a few months before the first COVID lockdown. Finding a doctor who was accepting new patients during that time, became quite a challenge. Doctor after doctor turned us away. Fortunately, we had no pressing need so I had time on my side and after some searching and through the help of a family friend, I found Dr. Rebecca Rey.

My initial visit with Dr. Rey happened with masks on and other safety protocols but she was kind and patient and listened to my concerns. She offered her advice with simple, natural solutions and offered ways I could improve my health and quality of life. A few years have now gone by and when she joined MDVIP last year, I knew I had to follow her. I was further reassured when she explained her reasoning for making the change in her practice, to simply have more time for her patients.

As I age, I am finding that sometimes I feel anxious about the future as my health is concerned but it is abated by the knowledge that Dr. Rey is there for me whenever I need reassurance and only a phone call away. Having direct access to her any time of the day or night, means so much to me. I’m also blessed to feel that I have a doctor who cares and lets me know it!
