DiSalvo Has My Back

In the fall of '22 I went into Dr. Disalvo's office for a routine check up. He had me do some blood work prior to the visit, so when reviewing my results, he found that my PSA had increased quite a bit since the previous year. I had just retired and was planning on going to Italy the following week. He said this won't be a problem, but he got me on the schedule to see a urologist the week I returned. He explained what the next steps and different outcomes might be, so I was very prepared when seeing the urologist. The urologist confirmed that he thought I had prostate cancer, and that I should immediately go thru the screening tests - CAT scan, biopsy, etc. Along the way Disalvo was always available to discuss what next steps and helping with treatment decisions. Anyways, the cancer was still at stage 1, and I was able do radiation therapy and hormone suppression to treat it. This completed last summer with very good results - I'm starting to feel much more like myself again. I really appreciate the early diagnosis and quick response from my doctor. I will always owe a debt of gratitude to Carmen. Caught my first Wahoo a month after treatment was completed - see uploaded pic.
